Shady Shores Beach Resort (referred to as RESORT) and Salish Seaside Beach House (Private vacation rental, referred to as BEACH HOUSE)

Standard Terms & Conditions apply to both unless otherwise indicated.

Rates & Taxes

  • All bookings are subject to deposit equivalent to 1 NIGHT’S STAY, payable at time of booking. See below for Cancellation policy.
  • Rates in Canadian Dollars plus applicable taxes (16%)
  • Rates are based on Double Occupancy, extra charge for additional guests where available ($10 per person per night at Resort/$20 per person per night in Log House). Infants under 1 are free.
  • Rates are subject to change without notice.
  • All major credit cards accepted.
  • Website specials may NOT be used in conjunction with any other specials, are subject to availability on select suites.

RESORT Due Dates

Full payment required* 30 days prior to arrival

Oct-April:

Full payment required* 7 days prior to arrival

BEACH HOUSE Due Dates

May-Sept & All Major Holidays:

Payment Policies

RESORT

  • Check-in is 3pm-10pm. Please no early arrivals.
  • Check-out is at by 11am.
  • $200 Damage Deposit required (Credit card pre-auth), to be released after room is cleaned and inspected. (This is collected in advance if booking through AirBNB, Homeaway or VRBO)
  • For bookings made prior to May 2019, your balance may be payable upon arrival. If you would like to pre-pay, we are happy to make those arrangements.
 
 

BEACH HOUSE

  • Check-in time is 4pm-11pm
  • Check-out time is 11am
  • $600 Damage Deposit required (Credit card pre-auth), to be released after room is cleaned and inspected. (This is collected in advance if booking through AirBNB, Homeaway or VRBO)

Cancellation Policy

  • All bookings require equivalent of ONE-NIGHT’S STAY deposit at time of booking.
  • All cancellations and alterations are subject to an administrative charge equal to 25% of initial deposit.
  • All bookings made more than 48 hours in advance have 24-hour grace period. No penalty if a booking is cancelled within 24 hours of making the reservation.

RESORT 

Reservations between May 1 – Sept 30, and all designated holidays:

  • Minimum 30 days notice of cancellation. Subject to administrative charge above.
  • No refunds within 30 days of check-in.
  • Alterations – if available – are subject to an additional admin fee of $50.

Reservations between October 1 – April 30:

  • Minimum 7 days notice of cancellation, subject to administrative charge above
  • Less than 7 days there are no refunds.
  • Alterations – if available – are subject to an additional admin fee of $50.

BEACH HOUSE

Reservations between May 1 – September 30, and all designated holidays:

  • Minimum 90 days notice of cancellation. Subject to administrative charge above.
  • No refunds within 90 days of check-in.
  • Alterations – if available – are subject to an additional admin fee of $50.

Reservations between October 1 – April 30:

  • Minimum 30 days notice of cancellation. Subject to administrative charge above.
  • No refunds within 30 days of check-in.
  • Alterations – if available – are subject to an additional admin fee of $50.

Kitchens & Supplies

All rooms include linens & bath towels (not beach towels).

All RESORT kitchens and kitchenettes include full array of kitchen wares, coffee, salt pepper, sugar, tea.

BEACH HOUSE kitchen includes full array of kitchen wares, but does not include condiments or coffee/tea

Travelling with Minors

  • Infants (under 1)  stay free, but they must be accounted for in your reservation.
  • We offer free baby monitors at the front desk so you can put the wee ones to bed and enjoy the private decks and beach front hot tub in the evenings.

Pets & Smoking

  • We are an allergy-free property and not pet friendly.
  • No pets.
  • If you are traveling with a registered service animal, we must be notified in advance so we can make arrangements for additional sanitation of the suite at an additional charge.
  • No smoking inside.
  • Smoking outside in designated areas only.

Pools & BBQs

  • Only registered guests are permitted to use the hot tub or any other amenity.
  • Guests are required to shower and wash prior to entering the hot tub.
  • BBQ’s are provided with cooking mats, that must be washed and returned to BBQ after use.

Beach Fires

  • When permitted you may have a small contained bonfire on the beach.  We do not provide fire wood.  You can purchase it in town or bring your own.  All bonfires may not be left unattended, and must be totally extinguished.

Watercraft and Shellfish

  • Shell fish harvesting:  you must bring us a paper copy of your valid salt water fishing licence to keep on hand when the fisheries officers arrive.
  • All water craft must be carried to the water, and be buoyant before getting in, and be carried back to their original place.
  • Waivers need to be signed for water craft use, and the signee takes full responsibility for damage, loss or accident/injury.

Accessibility or Special Needs

  • Our property is not 100% wheelchair accessible, all suites are ground level, but please call for details so we can do our best to accommodate guests with disabilities.

Parking

  • Free parking in front of suite or in alternative parking lot.
